Baptism
Baptism is the first step in becoming a member
of the Catholic Church.
For infants and young children:
Parents take part in a preparation class
before scheduling the baptism.
For adults:
Adult baptism happens through the OCIA
process.
First communion
Children prepare for First Reconciliation and
First Communion through our Religious
Education program. Preparation normally
takes two years, beginning as early as 1st
grade.
Confirmation
Teens prepare for Confirmation through our parish’s Religious Education program. Preparation includes formation classes that help candidates learn the foundations of the Catholic faith, understand the Sacrament of Confirmation, and grow in their relationship with God. Candidates also choose a Confirmation sponsor to support them in their faith journey.
Reconciliation
The Sacrament of Reconciliation brings us healing, forgiveness, and peace. Confession
times and seasonal penance services are available at the parish
Anointing of the Sick
This sacrament is for those who are seriously ill, facing surgery, or in danger due to age or health. Call the parish office to request an anointing.
Marriage
Congratulations on your engagement! Couples planning to be married at IHM begin with an appointment with the pastor. Marriage
preparation includes meetings, classes, and necessary documents.

Men discerning the priesthood or diaconate can learn more about vocations in the Archdiocese of Santa Fe.
